Balanced Scorecards were developed
in the early 1990s by Kaplan and Norton as an approach to strategic
management. The Balanced Scorecard provides clarity as to what organisations
should measure in order to balance four perspectives:
1. Learning and Growth
2. Business Processes
3. Financial
4. Customer

The Balanced Scorecard is a system
which enables organisations to clarify their vision and strategy and
translate them into action. Feedback is provided from both internal and
external business processes in order to continuously improve.
